This is a very rare pitcher, made by Royal Doulton circa 1902-12, featuring the renowned artist and author ___ Souter's Art Nouveau Cats. There are five cats shown on the pitcher along with an excerpt from Souter's poem -- Pussycat, Pussycat where have you wandered? The coloring and design of this pitcher are just wonderful, as are all Royal Doulton pieces. The inside also has cat designs in a contrasting green color. This is not a piece of Doulton you are apt to find any time again in the near future. This pitcher has some light crazing and a small hole in the center of the bottom. However, since it is unlikely anyone is going to actually use such an old pitcher to hold liquids, this won't affect the way it looks on display. However, we've priced it accordingly. The pitcher measures approx. 8" high.
