Prewar Ives No. 691 Train set circa 1920s and comes with original set box - A rare find! Standard gauge - wide gauge set. Box some tape and rips on one side, but the top and bottom are in good shape
We believe this was made pre take over by Lionel. Set consists of:
* 3235 Engine
* 186 Pullman Observation Car
* 184 Pullman Club Car
* Ives original transformer
* Tracks - 4 straight & 8 curved
Transformer was rewired and works. It has a light socket hooked up to it for on/off. We tested this engine and it took off like a rocket. Headlight works. Cosmetically there are some scratches but most of the paint is in present and overall good condition. There are some numbers written in marker from the previous owner on the bottom of the two passenger cars.
One passenger car has a light bulb inside the other does not but does have the wiring. This car is also missing a tab for the roof, but it stays in place unless you pull it off. Please feel free to ask questions.
