If you prefer to submit your own products to Google base please contact us and we will give you the specifics. People who may want to do this would be those who want to add more attributes to their products. We have found that our products are showing up quite well, but there’s always room for improvement and we understand that certain sellers - like book sellers - have special needs like isbn, author, date, etc. If you don’t know how to make a G-Base file, we’ll be happy to take the time and show you.
CUSTOMIZING YOUR STORE (BASIC)
How to add your logo or the name of your store in text to your template. (You should already have uploaded your logo) Keep in mind - your store name and user name don’t have to be the same. You can pick a user name that is search-engine friendly: like Bobs_ antique_furniture and then name your store something else. The user name is what will be in your URL like this:
http: //collectorsonlinemall.com/Bobs_antique_furniture
Click [Templates: Modify]
Click edit with WYSIWYG editor. REMEMBER - the site is style-sheet generated so, what you change here will change on all your pages - home, links, about, etc. Don’t put in anything you don’t want on all of the pages. Soon we will explain how to edit individual pages.
Either insert your logo where you want it. If it’s extremely large you may want to move the cart [shopping_cart] was code to a different area of you page as well as the WSA tag for product_search, because you need these. You can click on the icon to make another table beneath the large logo and then just copy and past the code for these into the new space below your logo. (with small logos you won’t have to do this).
Optional: Now you can add text or images (not product images) wherever you want. Check out some other stores and see how their’s look to get an idea.
You can also edit the pages with HTML if you’re knowledgeable about that, but please read the advanced section - there are some codes that need to remain in the page for your cart to function with the mall. You can also embed Flash or Java directly into your HTML.
Please do not remove the link to return to the mall since it makes it easier for shoppers.
When you’re done, click save. If you mess it up you can always choose another template and start over and don’t forget, we’re here to help.
Optional Menu Settings: From menu settings you can change the font, color, etc. of the template menus for your store. The products tab also lets you change the way your search box looks and the setting for how many photos and columns of photos you want on your product pages and storefront.
There are other options for the advanced users - such as changing the cart template, installing your own templates, etc. Please don’t attempt anything you don’t understand before reading the advanced Help Section.
EDITING INDIVIDUAL PAGES
You will undoubtedly want to personalize your site. You have the option of adding extra pages and filling in pages such as your about us, links, help and contact pages. [Website: Management]

If you’d like to add a form to your contact page or anywhere else, just click on [Tools: New Form] After you make a form click on [Tools: Manage Forms] to add them to pages.
ADDING NEWS: Under [Extension: News] you can write newsletters or brief news bits to show up on your site.
TRACKING ORDERS

Here is where you set up your Payment Settings - There are a variety of options including Paypal, Google Checkout, checks, money orders, Monebookers, etc. Check the ones you want and fill in your information.
Clicking on Invoices will allow you to set up your invoices for products.
