I am not sure if this is the original glass insert. The silver warming buffet serving piece is in excellent condition with no pitting. This is marked Sheridan Silverplate with the crown, Fancy S and Shield, typical of 3-piece english hallmarks. This is very ornate, decorated in an art nouveau floral pattern on legs which have lion paw feet. The only piece this needs to complete would be a small silverplate burner which is easy to get. Measures approx. 10" high with lid in place. Top diameter is approx. 9"
