We realize there are free sites out there on the Internet and that you may say - Why pay to sell at Collectors Online Mall.
The reasons are many - but the primary one is that free sites leave a lot up to the individual sellers - like advertising.
Collectors Online Mall is run with plenty of bandwith on Hostgator, has great loading time even with the SSL. SSL is an added security measure for your customers and for your own private information. Our SSL certificate is signed by Comodo (seal is on the front page). Some sites have self-signed certificates, which mean that they vouch for themselves as to who's running the site.
The more sellers we get, the more we can advertise our mall as being a great place to buy collectibles and antiques. We are an often neglected group of sellers who have been pushed to the background - so it's time we had our own place without comissions and a lot of worries.
Your stores can be customized - you can add graphics, change the templates, add your own templates. After all, they're your stores. You can use them as a website if you want. There is room to add pages, java and flash modules, etc. Link your stores to wherever you want as long as they are either sites that belong to you (like other stores, your auctions, your myspace, squidoo, etc.) or provide valuable resources for collectors such as research on your products.
Please, for the good of us all, do not link to the home pages of general sites that are in competition with this mall. That would just be unfair to everyone here.
